TODAY UNTIL TOMORROW (15 - 16 JANUARY), THE TAIL-END OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING CLOUDY SKIES, SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDRESTORMS OVER QUEZON AND BICOL REGION.RESIDENTS OF THESE AREAS ARE ADVISED TO BE ALERT AS PROLONGED RAIN PERIODS MAY RESULT TO POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS AND LANDSLIDES. MEANWHILE CAGAYAN VALLEY, CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION (CAR), AND THE PROVINCE OF AURORA WILL BE CLOUDY WITH LIGHT RAINS. THE REST OF LUZON WILL HAVE GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER CONDTIONS APART FROM SOME ISOLATED LIGHT RAINS DUE TO THE “AMIHAN” WHILE VISAYAS AND MINDANAO WILL HAVE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS DUE TO LOCALIZED THUNDERSTORMS.

BY SUNDAY UNTIL TUESDAY (17 - 19 JANUARY), A FRESH SURGE OF THE “AMIHAN” ALONG WITH THE TAIL-END OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING CLOUDY SKIES AND SCATTERED RAINS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER CAGAYAN VALLEY, CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION, AURORA AND QUEZON. MEANWHILE THE EASTERN SECTION OF VISAYAS AND MINDANAO WILL BE CLOUDY WITH SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DUE TO THE EASTERLIES. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL HAVE GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER APART FROM LIGHT RAINS OR LOCALIZED THUNDERSTORMS.

THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE OUTLOOK PERIOD (20-22 JANUARY), THE TAIL-END OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL DISSIPATE, “AMIHAN” WILL TEMPORARILY WEAKEN AND THE EASTERLIES WILL BE THE DOMINANT WIND SYSTEM. THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL EXPERIENCE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS MOSTLY OVER THE EASTERN SECTION DUE TO LOCALIZED THUNDERSTORMS.
